Overview

The Husqvarna Excel 3000 Red Early Entry Diamond Blade is engineered for ultra-early entry cutting in concrete containing medium to hard aggregate and medium abrasive sand. Designed to be used with Husqvarna’s patented Soff-Cut® system, this blade helps prevent random cracking by allowing cuts to be made within 0–2 hours after finishing the slab.

Blade Break-In Instructions

To ensure optimal performance and lifespan, operate the saw at half of its normal forward speed for the first 100 lineal feet. This allows the diamonds to open up, promoting cooler cuts and full blade life.

How the Soff-Cut System Works

The patented Soff-Cut® system enables dry cutting of concrete within hours of finishing. It uses an up-cutting blade rotation, a spring-loaded skid plate, and a blade block to maintain surface pressure and minimize spalling, chipping, and edge damage.

The Green Zone

The “Green Zone” is the critical window between 0–2 hours after finishing the concrete, before the final set. Cutting in this window prevents uncontrolled cracks and ensures cleaner control joints. Cutting outside this window may result in blade damage and poor performance.
