When used with Husqvarna’s Soff-Cut system, the blade is able to help prevent random cracking by cutting green concrete within the 0–2 hour “green zone” after the slab has been finished.

Break-In Instructions
Operate the saw at half the normal forward speed for the first 100 lineal feet. Break-in will open the diamonds and keep the cut cooler to maximize blade life.
The Soff-Cut System
Husqvarna’s patented Soff-Cut system allows contractors to dry cut concrete within hours of finishing. It utilizes up-cutting rotation, a spring-loaded skid plate, and a blade block that hold down the surface and prevent spalling, chipping and edge damage for clean cuts.
The “Green Zone”
The 0–2 hour window after finishing presents the best time to cut joints. Wait too long and the slab may crack uncontrolled or ruin the blade. Cutting in the green zone with the Excel 3000 Red will eliminate random cracks and provide clean, accurate control joints.
