Bartell Global: Engineered from Legacy, Built to Last
After World War II, a new era of opportunity emerged. Amid this shift, Art Bartell launched a small tool-and-die shop in 1946. Soon after, he recognized the construction industry's demand for reliable equipment. In response, Bartell created and patented a superior concrete power trowel in 1962. As a result, his company quickly became Canada’s leading name in concrete finishing tools. With dedication to durability and innovation, Bartell laid a strong foundation that would carry his brand far beyond local markets.

Eventually, Art’s son, Lee Bartell, stepped into leadership during the 1970s. Not only did he expand into the U.S. and Europe, but he also built a custom facility in Ontario. During the 1990s, Bartell products reached South America, Australia, and Asia. Though Terex acquired the company in 1999, Bartell’s employees later bought it back. Under renewed leadership, they acquired Innovatech and SPE. Then, to unify the brands, Bartell evolved into Bartell Global—offering complete concrete and surface preparation solutions worldwide.
Today, Bartell Global continues to lead with innovation, reliability, and unmatched customer focus. Because our roots run deep, we remain resilient in a changing market.
